The Ritz Hotel was "the first reinforced steel and concrete building in London" and was built in 1906. Location wise, we are told that this hotel "looks onto Piccadilly and Green Park."
The Ritz was refurbished in the millennium and this "has enabled it to live up to its name and fortunately it is now as glitzy and ritzy as anyone could want."
The hotel itself is described as being "relatively small, with a mere 131 rooms" with each room being decorated "in pretty pastels and gold leaf." The rooms are "full of antique furniture" and also include "fireplaces and have plush marble bathrooms." We are also told that "the needs of the twenty-first century are well catered" for.
There are a choice of places to dine at, one of these being The Louis XIV restaurant which is "probably the most beautiful dining room in London."
The article concludes by informing us that there is a fitness centre at the hotel for "those who cannot do without a daily workout."
