Mandeville Hotel, London W1
When it opened three years ago this hotel was described by Vogue as "Baroque and Roll". The style is "wacky and in your face" with "bold Regency prints", orchids, mirrors and abstract art. The Mandeville Hotel, London
The "funkily luxurious" Mandeville hotel is in the "midst of the noise and clammy heat" of central London. Ms Tickle was delighted with the "startling cacophony" of the multi-coloured furnishings in the "gorgeously decorated" public rooms and was happy to "collapse" into the "elegant" armchairs in the lounge after a bit of "hard-core" shopping.
