[Chouchin, 04.12.2006] The author clearly did not enjoy his stay, mainly because the whole hotel was over-heated. Even the lift was too hot. He states that the public were the only spots where "the temperature drops below 451F" and even that was only whenever "somebody opens the doors." It clouded his appreciation of the decor, which he considered to be "acceptable - sort of country house in London", although he did state categorically that the bed was "too small" and the "bedside light did not work". Rupert Wright gained the impression that "everything seemed too much trouble" for the staff. The restaurant was fine, but with a limited menu. After lunch you "repeat the menu for dinner."
