[more]The Cavendish is a 4 star hotel in the west end of London. It is one of the city’s oldest surviving hotels dating from the early 18th century, although much modified over the years. It is also renowned for the chef and owner Rosa Lewis who was the inspiration for the TV series “The Duchess of Duke Street”.
There are 230 rooms, graded classic, superior and executive, and two types of suite, junior and penthouse. All rooms have en-suite facilities, air-conditioning, internet connection, flat screen TVs, in-room safe, minibar and tea and coffee making equipment. Classic rooms have shower only, others have bath and shower. A paying car park is available for guests. The hotel is non-smoking throughout.
The restaurant has an AA rosette and specialises in modern British cuisine. For lighter meals and drinks the Lobby Bar has a grazing menu and the Lounge serves snacks and afternoon tea.
5 private rooms are available for hire, and can be used for corporate events with presentational equipment provided, or for social events including private dining.
