Travel guide extract
[Fritzthecat, 08.04.2007] The author writes that this hotel offers "excellent value for London" incorporating "original art and colonial style furniture". He notes that "Harry's Bar" in New York was the inspiration for the design of the juice bar and that guests will be greeted by a "sculpted waterfall" that is framed by "an enormous wood carving from Jaipur" in the reception. The hotel features "creamy stone floors, leather sofas" and "American walnut" and the location is just "two minutes" away from the tube, right at Earl's Court. The rooms are described as "not large", but the author has found them to be "wonderfully designed". They feature "shiny red marble bathrooms" and the writer marvels at the "exceptional walk-in showers". He states that they are filled with "unusual antiques from India and the Far East" and offer "lots of carved wood", "gorgeous Andrew Martin fabrics" and "merino wool blankets, Egyptian cotton" as well as "swish curtains". The technology in the room is "state-of-the-art" and the rooms at the front of the hotel are flooded with light, some offering balconies.
