The reviewer begins by setting the interior scene, noting that the style is that of Kit Kemp, who owns, with her husband Tim a "solid empire of hotels across the capital under the Firmdale brand". The reviewer writes that Kit embraces "the eccentric character for which the English are renowned", noting that it may not be to everyone's tastes, but that she personally finds it "a breath of fresh air".

The reviewer next goes on to talk about the fact that Haymarket is in fact "the Kemp's seventh endeavour", adding that it was opened in May (of 2007), and "set in three Regency houses". The reviewer notes that the premises are "spacious" and that the hotel offers "well-proportioned bedrooms and sizeable communal spaces". She also adds that facilities include a "cosy guest drawing room", bar, events room and an 18 metre swimming pool.

Of the location of the hotel itself, the reviewer writes that "you couldn't be more central", noting the hotel's proximity to areas of interest in the city.

Of the rooms, the reviewer states that "comfort is king", noting that the beds are "oversized [...] dressed in soft white linen and festooned with pillows". She notes that there are 50 rooms in total, ranging from "luxury doubles to two-bedroom suites", she also points out that there is "a nearby townhouse" which would set you back "£3,000 a night". The reviewer next touches on the bathrooms, noting that they are "gleaming", noting that "most have freestanding showers". She finishes by listing room facilities.

The reviewer begins to finish her review by writing about the food available at the hotel, noting that the "Brumus restaurant" is decorated in "startling pink", but that the portions are satisfying and "of good quality". She notes that it is around "£35 per head for three courses without wine".

The reviewer finishes by noting that the hotel is priced "from £288 per room per night", noting that special rates are available from 14 December (2007) - 27 January (2008).
