The author rates the Apex City of London as "one of the city's luxury hotels" and notes that it is "close to Tower Bridge" and directly in "the heart of the business district" but still "ideal for leisure travellers". The rooms "are of a high standard" and the gym offers the "most up-to-date equipment". The writer was impressed by the dining in the hotel's Addendum restaurant which he describes as "a highlight" (awarded with two of the coveted AA Rosette Awards) and mentions that there is also "a less formal brasserie" and bar. (The AA Hotel Guide 2009, page 337)
