The location has been voted by guests to be simply perfect. We have 4 tube stations within easy walking distance Angel being less than 6 minutes away. The area is well supported by buses and trains and airport connections excellent. Should you be visiting City University then we simply couldn't be closer. The local streets are gourmet paradise and site seeing starts outside our door with historic trails and routes to the City, St Pauls or the river.
A typical room will feature a period cast iron fireplace, limestone hearth, original fitted cupboard and original wooden floor boards. All features have been lovingly restored by master craftsmen. The quality of the property is very high as shown in the photographs of the rooms.
A stay with us isn't only about the antique. The technical features include free 8Mbps fixed line broadband, WIFI, Cable TV connectors, low energy halogen spot lighted ceilings and self controlled central heating. The floors are insulated and steel strengthened using the latest technologies. We have done our utmost to ensure not only your comfort but that the house lasts another 200 years.
Our beds are comfortable with good sprung mattresses and we provide desks and free internet access in each room. Our bedding and towels are of high quality. All our rooms have views of the park or the garden.
All our rooms (4 available) are clean, quiet,comfortable, well furnished and very private. Some are exceptionally large (4.5 x 5.5 metres). All are blend of charming original features, period furniture and modern conveniences.
Our guests share bathrooms. These are large rooms designed to be the ultimate in luxury from marble tiles with Phillipe Starke and Hans Grohe designer fittings. We have a huge French (Jacob Delafon) claw foot tub. The house is supplied with constant pressurized hot water via our state of the art thermostat. The large walk in shower has been designed to gush and not drizzle and the spout is of a height to accommodate the tallest of guests. Cleaning is constant and our standards are high as our guest book testifies.
A sunny secluded garden is available to guests.
