From the top of mount Jested one has an "unique view" and the hotel there is an "architectonical jewel" with a "restaurant, transmitter" and "the top of the funicular railway". The "beautiful landscape" is "exceptionally clean".

Captain Oddsocks says that the building where the hotel is situated is "one of the most distinctive modern buildings in the country", the tower on the top of the mountain of Ještěd. He stayed one night at Ještěd hotel in the off-season, when the hotel was offering "good discounts" and a "very reasonable" price, for, as the author of this text finds, "such an iconic building". He took the room on the sixth floor "where the bathroom facilities are out on the corridor".
