This 27 year old festival is not just a Lerwick event, but occurs at venues all over the island. Besides the concerts and dances there are also sessions and workshops. In past editions, home-grown artists have rubbed shoulders with the likes of Elvis Costello, Rolf Harris and the Commitments amongst others. The festival came eighth in a "Top 40 Visitors Attractions in Scotland" list in the Rough Guide for Scotland. The 2007 event will take place between the 4th and the 6th of May. The venues and line-up are to be announced. |
