The Laxey Wheel was built in 1854 by a local man from Laxey called John Casement. It is the largest working waterwheel in the world and was used to remove water from the mines. As well as the waterwheel there are 3 trails to walk along, all of which are signposted. Facilities include: picnic area, parking and shop. Disabled access is limited due to stairs and walks. The entrance fees are: £3.50 for adults with concessions for children and groups. The opening times are: April - October 10.00am - 5.00pm |
