Mount Teide

Mount Teide, the volcano of Tenerife is 3,718 metres high. It can be reached by taking a coach or safari trip from your hotel. Once there, there is a cable car that costs 25 Euros that will take you to the very summit.

Open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (weather permitting), the cableway runs to La Rambleta. There is also a bar and buffet restaurant at the cable car station. The car takes a maximum of 35 persons and travels almost 2.5km in less than ten minutes, depositing its passengers at an altitude of 3,555 metres. From there visitors can use the vantage points at La Fortaleza and Pico Viejo, but those wishing to ascend further to the very summit of Mount Teide need to obtain a permit beforehand.
