, 08/02/2011] Lanark loch is a very pleasant place, you can enjoy a walk around the loch itself with many stop off picnik spots around the edge, children can enjoy the play toys near the carpark and swings that can be found half way around. There is also a nice restraunt / b&b that i have never been to, i have heard high comments about it eventhough its overpriced. There are also some feids at one side of the loch which would be pleasnt for a dog walking area. The loch on a whole is a very nice spot but, like most of lanark when it begins to get dark many local childern turn up and begin to cause trouble s

This was a large boat with a slide and fireman's pole along with seating and a climbing frame. However, there

, 11/11/2006] Lanark Loch is a small loch in South Lanarkshire. There are lots of swans and the number increases every year. This summer I counted 57 when I was feeding them. Most visitors will bring the hungry birds some food but not all of the swans end up getting fed as the bigger, tougher and meaner swans push forward and littler swans don't get a chance to eat. Generaly, people just take bread but I have often tossed them a sardine or a bit of left over fish. Despite all the swans, the loch is still a great fishing spot. Fishermen (and fisherwomen) will often travel to the loch and set up a tent for t
