[tb240904, 01/07/2010] Cleghorn Glen is like the older brother of Cartland Craigs. It is about three times the size. They're basically the same and there is, in my opinion, no reason for them to be split into two reserves. However, they are and this is a review of the fantastic Cleghorn Glen. Basically, it's a nature reserve which has remained untouched by humans due to the impracticalities of cutting down trees on a steep slope. [TerryfaeScotland, 15/06/2009] Cleghorn Glen has become my favourite place to walk the dog. Recently, I have been walking a lot more than usual. Until a couple of weeks ago, I had no idea there was a nature reserve near Lanark (except New Lanark but it's miles away from where I live) but after a lot of walking I managed to find myself lost on the Cleghorn Glen Nature Reserve. I would recommend that anyone visiting Lanark should take a walk through the reserve.
