Welwyn Garden City, United Kingdom80%
I stayed at this resort in August 2011 and found it to be comfortable and nicely fitted out - the theme is of an old west hunting lodge and (as you'd expect with Disney!) is very well done. The main lobby is impressive. We had one of the 'villas' which in reality are 'mini apartments' situated in a block separate from the main hotel - separated by a 2 minute walk along a covered walkway. The 'room' was a good size (two bedrooms, a living area with kitchen and two bathrooms), clean and reasonably well equipped.
The hotel boasts two separate swimming pools and access to the main attractions is via either bus or ferry service. Wilderness Lodge is a little further from the Magic Kingdom than some of the other resorts (about 15 minutes on the ferry). This does have the bonus that it is slightly quieter than say the Grand Floridian or Polynesian resorts but the downside that the Magic Kingdom is not visible from Wilderness Lodge - so no watching the evening fireworks from the resort!
Eating options are a tad limited but this is typical of all of the Disney resort hotels I have stayed in - fine if you like steaks, burgers and fries but a tad lacking in anything else. All in all I'd recommend it if you want a slightly quieter resort slightly further from the hub-bub of the Magic Kingdom and the 'villa' room was certainly ideal for a party of 5.
