Lagos

Casa da Moura was built from an existing one using all the front parts of the building on the ground floor. Manor house with a height of 4 meters from th floor level to the ceiling wood lined ceilings wide corridors and stone and wooden floors. Its construction dates back from 1892 it belongs to a local wealthy family. For many years it was occupied by the members of the said family. In the 1950's and 1970's it was the old headquarters of the Portuguese Legion Is situated inside the ramparts and scarcely within 5 minutes walking distance of the town centre of Lagos and several beaches. We Tried to include this project in the cultures that were left in this region by the moor owing to the fact that a great part of the materials used in the construction of Casa da Moura were imported from Morocco.
