Marina Rio Hotel in Lagos is one of my favourite hotels in the Algarve. My mum and aunt visit every year - sometimes twice. Every time I go back to my old home town I always stay in this small and friendly hotel. The staff are brilliant and always welcoming and if you are a frequent visitor they make a big fuss of you. I remember seeing the hotel built which was around 1990 as my inlaws had a boat in the old harbour and we stayed on it for a while as we didn't move over until 1991.
