[03.07.2006] A thoroughly enjoyable hotel with the added bonus that the prices are reasonable, the service is good and the view is to die for. During my stay there were noisy renovations outside, but that is a factor which I'm sure was of a temporary nature. Situated on South Beach, there is literally just the road to cross before one is on the beach and at the many activities and amusements offered along the "Golden Mile". [more]

[30.06.2006] The Valley of a 1000 Hills is a very long drive which offers spectacular views of the Zululand landscape. The route is dotted with "Kraals" (Zulu cultural villages) and market stalls which sell overpriced curios, African quilts, beadwork and trinkets. There is also a beautiful restaurant to stop at for refreshments. Tours visit a village where one is introduced to the traditional lifestyle, cookery and dancing. [more]
