, 16/07/2007] Kuala Lumpur is a great city and one where visitors are spoilt for choice with so many and varied options for entertainment. Being a country girl, I find big cities drain the life out of me very quickly and I can easily get overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle. When that happens, I'll try to find somewhere clean, quiet and peaceful to feed my need to escape. If it's beautiful and interesting as well, then that's a big bonus. , 17/05/2007] To the west of KL city centre is the Orchid Garden located in the Lake Garden area, which is a popular visitor attraction. We visited late one afternoon and had an hour here before they closed at 5pm. Whilst we were there, there were very few people about. I think most people had more sense than to be there in the middle of a hot afternoon. Once you enter the gardens you can stroll around at your leisure.
