Maya Bay was made famous by its appearance in the Hollywood movie ‘The Beach’. It is located on the southwest corner of the uninhabited island of Phi Phi Le, and can be accessed by speedboat, longtail boat, or small ferry. A National Park entrance fee applies, and day trips are available from Krabi, Phuket and the neighbouring island of Phi Phi Don. Some sea canoe trips also operate locally. Maya Bay has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in Southern Thailand. Surrounded on 3 sides by 100 metre high limestone cliffs, the crystal clear turquoise waters of this shallow bay provide excellent snorkelling opportunities. The main beach is a 200m stretch of white sand, and there are two other very small beaches within the bay. Toilets and a small snack bar are located to the rear of the main beach. Overnight stays were prohibited until recently, but a camping trip now operates which can be arranged at the Lemongrass Restaurant on Phi Phi Don.

Vom Aussichtspunkt hat man den für Koh Pi Pi bekannten Postkartenblick auf die beiden Lagunen und den schmalen Sandstreifen der Insel, der die beiden Berge verbindet. Erreichbar ist der Aussichtspunkt über einen ausgeschilderten Weg von der Long Beach aus und viele Treppenstufen. Am Gipfel findet man einen kleinen Kiosk vor.
