The online guide Undiscovered Scotland gives a few paragraphs of its article on Kilmartin Glen over to Kilmartin House museum, the "best starting point" for a visit of the Glen. They describe it as "excellent" as it has something for everyone. They go on to describe several "highlights" of the visit, as well as exhibits for "those who like to touch rather than look", like the animal skins which help you understand the days when "clothes came pre-worn as something else's skin". Interactive displays allow you to "bring to life" the objects of the past in "Time Team"-like fashion. An "excellent" coffee shop and a shop with an "extremely good" choice of books can also be found here, enough to "fe[e]d your imagination" before beginning your exploration of the area.
