Best Location in Port Douglas
Older than 3 years
[17/12/2007] Great apartments with the perfect location on Macrossan Street. Not too noisy considering the location as it is set back from the main street, but its so close to everything, its perfect if you like going out to the restaurants or the pubs of Port Douglas.

Must see site of Upper Egypt
[17/12/2007] Absolutely awesome and well worth every penny. Not the cheapest day trip but well worth it and essential for any trip to Egypt. Stretch your budget to do a trip which flies there instead of the 3 hour road trip, its much more relaxed and you dont waste alot of time travelling.

Basma Hotel in Aswan
Older than 3 years
[17/12/2007] Would definitely stay here again. It's close to town but far enough away to be quiet and have no hassle. Great rooms, great views.

Everything you ever need to know about Egypt
[17/12/2007] There is so much to see at the Egyptian Museum you probably need a few days there. The Tutankhamun stuff is incredible. You really need to go with a guide though, there is so much you will never know what to see or where it is. Go there as one of the last things on your trip because you will have learnt about alot of the artciles there during your visits to the famous sites in Cairo, Luxor and Aswan.
Pyramids Sound and Light Show

Cheesy but fun
[17/12/2007] The Sound and Light Show at the Pyramids was great fun. Its not a serious history lesson of Egypt, but it was entertaining nonetheless. The Sphinx narrates the story and its worth going if only see the Pyramids all lit up and to see a face on the Sphinx. It's pretty loud so might scare young kids, but otherwise its a good family activity.
