[15/07/2006] The annual J&B Met, one of the "most prestigious horseracing events" in South Africa, was run for the 29th time in 2006 with organizers expecting a "record crowd of 50000" for this showcase of "glamour, sophistication and glitz " in Cape Town. The actual racing and money-stakes almost play a secondary roll to the display of fashion and entertainment such as "Stilt Walkers, Acrobats, Mime artists and dancers". And then there is the "Afterparty" - hosted by local radio DJ's with an "open-air dance floor", top-notch equipment as well as "Bedouin-covered bars and top security".
