Blue Mountains Hotels are expensive (see wotiff.com); standard of accommodation is very ordinary. We booked in Best Western Alpine, this does feel like a proper motel along the standards I am used to in Europe, USA/Canada.
The room was clean and everything worked properly. King beds are so comfortable we decided to extend our stay to 5 days. Bathroom was a bit small, but clean and very functional. After seeing other hotels this one we recommend to our friend’s. We stayed in many hotels and always have to pay for Internet & phone calls, Alpine hotel provide one of the fastest Internet connections and all our local calls for free! We use Internet a lot.
The motel is on the edge of Blue Mountains escarpments and it's a 10 min walk to the town center. The motel is very quiet, with the large windows and view across escarpments, (the motel also has a small restaurant with excellent food & service). The motel is surrounded by an old garden, which I found rather attractive.
