[irenauleva, 19/04/2010] The Stone wedding is a natural phenomenon located approximately 5 km south of Kardjali, next to village Zimzelen. The Legend says that the wedding procession was petrified by God, like outrage from the wicked thinking of the father in law to the bride. The bride and groom stand out in front of all the wedding guests on a hillside.
Access to this landmark is free, the road through the village is a terrible one, so you need to drive carefully, otherwise you will leave some part of your car there. The stone wedding is viewable from the road without going to the village.
