[t4mof, 03.10.2005] Gary and Sonia escaped their Canadian winter in 2005 and visited the Barcelo Talanquera Beach Resort and describe their room as "OK, nothing spectacular". Their 'king-size' bed was actually two mattresses, one of which was "so lumpy that I couldn't sleep on it" and the pillows were "also extremely lumpy, as though they had been through the washing machine". They did end up "loving" their room though, as it was "so nice and quiet at the back of the resort". Gary and Sonia ate at the food buffet every day and although they felt that "the food selection got a little monotonous after a few days" but this "meant we didn't overeat". The Italian restaurant was considered "OK" and the French restaurant, "amazing". The beach was "small, but nice" and "the water was perfect for snorkelling and swimming". At the pool they "blast music all day" and "have contests and pool aerobics". The evening entertainment was "a huge disappointment" as it was the "same people, doing the same thing every night". Overall though the authors say they had "an amazing week".
