Don't stay at the Virginian Hotel in Jackson Hole

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We found this hotel on the internet and booked a reservation for two rooms with 2 queen beds. The hotel website looked appealing. It showed a grassy common area with pools and rooms surrounding the grassy common area. It looked quaint. We were mistaken! Upon arriving we discovered that the grassy common area is only near a few of the rooms. The other rooms are in a completely separate building which is not shown in the photo on their site- and for good reason. The other building is only feet from a mobile home park which appears to be a slum. Behind the building is a tent campground crowded with people. Upon entering the room you smell smoke in all rooms including those which are non-smoking, and you can hear babies wailing from both the tent campground and the mobile home slum next door. The rooms are dark and wreak of air freshner which obviously is being used as an attempt to cover up the smell of smoke and mildew. This is a very unpleasant place to stay! Obviously the Virginian Lodge website misled us as to what we could expect to find when arriving. We left immediately upon arriving ! Don't book a room at the Virginian Lodge.
