[mirinel, 07/12/2011] May Hotel was the best choice we make for our week in Istanbul. It is located Sultanahmet, the historical center of Istanbul. Is very local and you feel like being part of the city and not just a tourist. The room are very cosy and spacious and if you are lucky to live in the upper floors you have access to the hotel rooftop which offers a splendid view over the Golden Horn and the Sea of Marmara. We spent many of our evenings there until sunset, enjoying the neighborhood and the streets vibe. Istanbul never sleeps, neither the traditional leather garnet workers, nor the street shops which ar

[Busra, 29/10/2011] To be honest I was a bit cautious and did not have high expectations, since this is a 2 star hotel. But once arrived there, i was definitivly positive surprised. it's a little hotel but fullfils the clients expectations totally. the personal is very friendly and mindfull giving their best to satisfy the clients. they reflect really the turkish hospitality.
The rooms are pretty and were cleaned every day. the beds are made every day.
Furthermore, the location is very central. it is in the heart of sultanahmet. you can go by foot to the grand bazar, the hagia sofia mosque, the blue mosque, the y

This hotel is part of the Sirkeci group which is a group of hotels and restaurants in Istanbul. Sirkeci is also an area of the old part of Istanbul and The Sirkeci Railway Station was the terminus of the famous Orient Express train and was just round the corner from the hotel.
GETTING THERE:
We arrived at the airport after a flight from Birmingham via Amsterdam and having read a number of reviews about the taxis from the airport and their enthusiasm for speed and reluctance to accept a fair fare or take four people in one taxi, we choo

[zena111, 30/08/2011] Excellent hotel location in taksim area, comfy bed, clean room, very quiet at night and not at all noisy as we heard about hotels in taksim area. During breakfast, we had for a couple of mornings a pianist playing it was really nice. Rich breakfast as well and fresh food.
The hotel room had no place for the luggage, and we didn't like the bath tub in the room, no privacy at all.. No hair dryer either, the lighting is a bit dim as well.
But overall for a short vacation, would definitely recommend this hotel..
[stonebrain, 27/08/2011] We had a fabulous time in Istanbul! We stayed one week in this hotel and everything was perfect, food was great, and it was a good deal of price, rooms were clean. We were very impressed with the helpful & very informable staff. In terms of location, it was just a few minutes walk from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and tram. Noahs Ark was a definite recommendation to anyone wanting to have a comfortable and memorable stay.

[prestondanny, 27/07/2011] The hotel was quite central, up to 3 minutes walk from the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia. The closest tram station is Sultanahmet and is very close. The staff at the hotel were all extremely nice and friendly, the rooms were not very big but comfortable and very much clean and modern.
[charlesgaga, 27/07/2011] Already at the reception one received a cozy welcome. The entire staff from reception, over cleaning personal to breakfast room staff was very friendly and at least bi-lingual. Location is superior. Just 2 minutes from the blue mosque and the other historical attractions. Also, it is close to all other facilities in Sultanahmet areas such as restaurants bazaars tram etc. It's very safe environment where you can go out late without having to be afraid. Excellent room with Fantastic panorama view

[sameh111, 14/07/2011] Of the finest places I visited in Turkey .it is a huge bazaar has many rare items from jewelry and goods one day not enough to shop in the bazaar It is a very large, but tha thing I did not like was the high prices, the price is very expensive and there is the treatment of vendors they were telling us to buy goods .
I like a lot handbags, scarves, shirts, toys, carpets, watches and jewelry, but I did not buy anything Because of rising costs.

[garymarsh6, 09/07/2011] We stayed in this small hotel which is ideally placed in the Sultanahamet area of Istanbul close to all the major attractions of the old city for example the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, the Topkapi Palace and the cistern.
It is situated in one of the smaller streets which is free from traffic and pedestrianised which was quite nice and along the street are a few restaurants that spill out onto the pavement areas. There is a small shop next door to buy essentials like water and other essentials.
The hotel facilities are as follows.
60 rooms, single, twin, double and triple.
Dining breakfast

[MichaelAdams, 13/06/2011] It was a small hotel in a quiet street at night leading up to tram station, within a few minutes walk of everything one might want to visit. There were several simple but excellent restaurants within a few min. walk from the hotel.. It was a very clean and comfortable hotel at the center of everything in the old city.
[Vasileva71, 12/06/2011] This is a great bridge. The view around was unique. The bridge itself is built in an incredible way like a rainbow. When graduating from there in time for the formula, we stopped in the middle of the bridge for 10 minutes that were unforgettable. From the middle of the bridge is opened to view the city.
