This reviewer relates a 3 nights stay at the Ramada Jarvis Inverness on business. Situated about "fifteen-minute drive" away from the airport and "close to [the] city centre", with access "from two parallel roads", which means the hotel has two entrances. The one she was led to the first time was not "too inviting", prompting thoughts of "Ugh - look at the state of this place!". The other side though gives a "better image" of the hotel.
In common with "most chain group hotels", check in was a " very smooth process" with the offer of a "wake up call" and of the "morning paper". However, she did not think it was "very acceptable" that several guests had to have their keys "reactivated" after a few days.
The foyer is "spacious" and offers "plenty of soft seating". Although there are 2 bars, guests are not really offered a choice as "only one was staffed" most of the time. They also seemed to have "ran out" of several things.
Moving on to the "spacious studio rooms", which she found "well equipped", hers having an "excellent view across Inverness" thanks to "large windows". The TV had both terrestrial and satellite channels, and she remarks with amusement that the "porno" had to be ordered by phone from reception. You could also "view your hotel bill" on it, which was "a good idea" to check that it was correct.
Although the room was "generally cleaned", she felt some areas were missed and items brought up from the bar "were not removed the following morning " which meant "quite a collection" built up. The courtesy tray was also not always "replenished". She got a "restful sleep" there, but rooms on the other side of the hotel had to put up with the noise caused by "boy racers" and "a good few drunks!".
The bathroom's shower "cannot be faulted", and neither can " the very good selection of toiletries".
The restaurant had a "nice menu", with a "good selection" for breakfast, "very tasty" evening meal (options "changed daily"). It was served by "always friendly" but somewhat disorganised staff, who "ran out of two wines" during the stay.
On the whole, she felt the staff, whilst "not impolite or rude" did not always "go that extra mile" for guests. Although she would "visit again", she doesn't "recommend" the hotel as better ones can be found "within this price bracket".
