Part of the Bayworld complex, the entrance fee for the museum includes a visit to the on site oceanarium. Ample parking and wheelchair access is available. Opening hours are from 09h00 to 16h30 daily except on Christmas Day and facilities include a cafe and library. This is the 3rd oldest museum in South Africa and exhibits cover such diverse aspects as maritime history, marine life, costumes, birds and dinosaurs. There is also a Xhosa Gallery which explores the culture and traditions of the Xhosa tribe. |
