Most people staying close to the town see the long stretch of beach heading south but perhaps may not realise that there are other beach areas north towards Cha Am and also south from Hua hin town. Just past Khao Takiab is what must be about the best beach. Long and wide, a sea that 'doesn't' disappear at high tide! Palm tress and casurina trees, beachside restaurants. This is popular with Thai people, probably as they 'know it is there'. Well worth heading 5 minutes beyond the Hyatt / Chiva Som to find this great beach.[...]
