Description:	Tucked into the heart of Houston's theatre district, The Jesse H. Jones Hall for the Performing Arts is named after a Houston-born U.S. Secretary of Commerce. It has become a landmark of Houston's downtown region. It opened to the public in 1966 and is now the official home of the Houston Symphony Orchestra and the local Society for the Performing Arts. The building contains a lobby sculpture called Gemini II, and eight-story columns flank the exterior. Jones Hall is used regularly as a venue for other musical acts such as Tom Waits and Tori Amos.
