[ChrisUK, 04/12/2010] Okay the pool did look as nice as in the picture and the staff were all friendly and welcoming. The rooms were not as nice as in the picture though. The rooms were old, worn and in need of modernisation and repair. Door and window did not look very secure (either to the wind or to burglary).
Many, many restaurants, etc. on this 'strip' so that's a plus I guess. It was also a very convenient location for our early flight from Hobby Airport but the neighbourhood felt very, very unsafe at night.
