Expert Tip. I felt like a native Hawaiian at the torch lighting ceremony, held across the street from the hotel on the Kuhio Beach coast. The ceremony takes place at sunset by the base of Duke Kahanamoku's statue, a tribute to the islands' renowned surfer.
