Local attractions include Diamond Head, approximately one and one-half miles away, and Pearl Harbor, located 14 miles from the resort. Tropical drinks are served to guests while they catch some rays, splash in the heated outdoor pool, or kick back in one of the two whirlpools, all of which overlook Waikiki Beach. The Na Ho'ola Spa is a 10,000-square-foot haven offering massages, beauty treatments, and a 24-hour fitness center with the beach in view. Other amenities include a business center, golf arrangements, shops, parking (for a fee), wireless Internet access, babysitting services, kids' club, currency exchange, doctor's office, bank, ice machines, laundry services, multilingual staff, safe deposit boxes, and secretarial services. Ciao Mein specializes in both Chinese and Italian dinners and Musashi boasts Japanese cuisine, a sushi bar and teppanyaki tables. Expert Tip. I felt like a native Hawaiian at the torch lighting ceremony, held across the street from the hotel on the Kuhio Beach coast. The ceremony takes place at sunset by the base of Duke Kahanamoku's statue, a tribute to the islands' renowned surfer.
