Like all English country house "luxury" hotels very, very expensive for what you get. The running costs (heating bills, staff) must be enormous. So the price is huge for a hotel that needs a lot of work to the interior. To charge for newspapers is a bit insulting with these sort of room rates. It is not likely to attract the trendy crowds of middle-ranking ad executives that plague such establishments as Babington House or footballers wives who flock to the Grove.
