, 08/01/2009] In order to get to Victoria Peak you have to take the Peak Tram. The Peak Tram is easily accessible and is a short walk from the MTR Central station. The Peak Tram rises from 28m to 396m above sea level along a 1.4 km track with a gradient of between 4 to 27 degrees. It definitely isnt the most comfortable ride, the seat are made from wood and you feel like you are being hauled up the mountain the whole way up, hoping that you wont drop down. , 17/10/2007] When on our trip to Hong Kong one of the thing on our to do list was a trip to Victoria peak to take in the marvellous view and ride on the famous peak tram. The History The tram has been in existence since 1888 when it was officially opened by the Governor and in these days the wooden tram was powered by coal fired boilers.
