[LoungeLizzard, 10/12/2011] The one and only real boutique hotel in Hong Kong, an oasis of calm and relaxation in the vibrant metropolis of Hong Kong. If you are staying here, forget about business. Rooms are big and location is good. The SPA is outstanding and so is the hotel in general. Staff is friendly and attentive and cares for the detail, which make a difference. In one word, it is a perfect hotel but it comes with high room rates, but if you want to relax after a hectic week of meetings in Hong Kong, this is the perfect place to recover.
[LoungeLizzard, 29/11/2011] I recommend this hotel for everybody with an overnight in Hong Kong or has Business in the vicinity of the airport. I would also book it, if I have a full day in Hong Kong but a late arrival the day before and an early flight out of Hongkong the next day and use the train to go to Kowloon. It is also a good starting point for a hiking tour to the Big Buddha. And given the sometimes high rates in Kowloon, I use this hotel if my client has a tighter budget as I get better value for money here than in Kowloon. The staff is really friendly and they are still friendly after a longer time being in B

[clauds, 24/07/2011] This was an amazing experience and one I will cherish. I spent a week in this hotel and the appearance as you walked in was breath taking. The service and custom was so professional and I felt like royalty. My room was adorable and the views of the city was magic. The food was delightful and the people were lovely. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would love to visit again. This hotel is well recommended.
[mrgrumpy9, 01/05/2011] Stayed here for 3 nights in April 2010. First hotel we've ever stayed in around the world that requires three deposits. One for the room key, one for the tv remote and one for the air conditioning remote. The room was one foot longer than the bed in one direction and probably four feet wider than the bed in the other. To get to the toilet you had to walk through the shower. It was an interesting stay with my wife and a four year old - who thought it great fun. This is a cheap hotel and as always, you get what you pay for! Since we were out and about all day and evening we just needed somewhere

[koshkha, 07/08/2010] It might sound like a strange thing to say but Hong Kong airport is beautiful. And very very big. As a fan of the work of the architect Sir Norman Foster, I instantly recognised it was one of his buildings the first time I went to check in at the new HK airport because it has all the high ceilings with light-maximising techniques that I recognised from Stansted, one of his other great airport designs.
The old HK airport was very close to the city, so close in fact that landing could be quite scary. The new one is a different matter and is well over an hour drive from the city. It's built on a

[e_kriger, 30/06/2010] The woman who runs this hotel is friendly.
On the outside the hotel looks nice, although the amount of Roman Style statues in the front could be some less.
The hotel is clean and provides you with basic facilities.
A clean bathroom, which I think is very imortant!!!
Modern airconditioning.
If the clean, but old-fashioned decoration and furniture doesn't bother you, you'll like staying here.
[UncleAlbert, 16/04/2010] Stayed here for our four days on our way back from Oz. We had an excellent time. The room was quiet, well equipped and the bed comfy. The staff are top notch, extremely polite and helpful without being sycophantic
[mereice_ann, 24/02/2010] it's a good hostel in hong kong.
[numnum, 01/02/2010] I booked Hyatt Regency Shatin at a very low price because there is an experience package for grand opening. The package includes a suite and breakfast for two. Also, there are cash vouchers for the restaurant and spa inside the hotel.
When I stepped into the hotel, I found that the lobby is very new and big. The decoration is very modern. It was quite crowded, may be all people also booked the experience package. We lined up for 30 minutes for check in. Suddently, we was told that our room is on the executive floor, we could check in the executive check-in area.
There is a lounge which p

[wisemonkey, 30/01/2010] As people that travel to most of the world's great cities and feels fortunate to do so, as designers, my wife and I love having Hong Kong as one of our two homes, but the Feather Boa which we have visited for over 5 years is now just a theme bar. Full of people that do not understand a good drink, but go because a guide book has told them. Long gone are the days when the owner only let you in if you drank a "good drink" and liked you, recommended great jazz and made you feel special. Now, when you ask for a simple French Martini you are told' no, Chocolate or Strawberry,' God forbid when I w

[lyvia67, 07/01/2010] When I heard that the biggest statue of Buddha is on Lantau island - I decided that I HAVE to visit it but I deffinitely expected to find something pretty ancient. What was my dissapointment when I found out that this statue was made only about 15 years ago! The statue is really big and imposing but to be honest I was more attracted by the Po Lin Monastery in the foot of the Big Buddha. It is more authentic and tipically picturesque. We reached the Big Buddha by Ngong Ping 360 gondola lift which was at that time (2007) quite new, so all travel guides advertised it as the most convenient way to

[patofgold23, 30/11/2009] From all the places I've seen in HongKong, Madame Tussauds Museum made my travel worthwhile. The travel company arranged for our tickets in advance so my son and I didn't have to wait in line for the ticket booth. But seeing the people stand there for I'm not sure how long, very eager to get a ticket made me realize how popular this place is. We had to wait for about 30 minutes to get inside coz people are packed. But everything we experienced behind the entrance door made the wait so worth it !!! The life-like figures of famous people and celebrities would make you have to touch them to make

[prettypeach, 08/09/2009] It has a pretty good location for a hotel, near to MTR is a must in HK! It's very convenient since the mall at the bottom part of the hotel building. Walking distance to the night market also!
[Haynes, 06/04/2009] Friendly service and concierge is very informative. Surrounding has many local specialties to try on different Asian cuisines.
[numnum, 11/03/2009] Ngong Ping Cable Car is one of the tools to go to Po Lin Monastery and Tian Tan Buddha. When I arrived at Tung Chung ticket counter, I found that there are many different types of packages. Some of them include the 3D movie tickets(HKD169, approximate EUR 17.04), when I was making my decision, the staff told us, it is 2pm now, and there is not enough time for you to complete all the tasks in the ticket package. So I finally chose the basic round ticket (HKD107, EUR 10.79) for the Cable Car.
Although it was Saturday, I only queued 10 minutes to get into the car. And the staff said as there w

[sian, 09/01/2009] I was taken to Feather Boa by a friend who had lived in Hong Kong for half a year and it is a great lounge bar that it seems that noone knows about.
To find the place is the first mission, the place is very hard to find and doesn't look like anything from the outside. Down a sidestreet where there is not much else going on, when you find it you have to go through a curtain to get into the bar.
Now they say that it is an exclusive members bar, but we weren't members and still got in. I have to say that it was the first place that we went to on a night out and were there at around 8, at that t

[sian, 08/01/2009] Temple Street is located in Kowloon, in between Jordan and Yau Ma Street. I was staying in Mong Kok and it was only a short walk to get from my hotel to Temple Street Market.
There are many things that you can buy at the Temple Street Market; however everything you can buy is fake. You can get copy watches, copy handbags, copy football shirts / t-shirts etc. Your negotiation skills cannot be rusty when you want to buy something here, as part of the fun is trying to get the best price for what you want. If you go early then you have the best chance of getting a good deal because the store keeper

[sian, 08/01/2009] After going out for dinner on a Wednesday night in Hong Kong we decided to head over to Happy Valley Racecourse to see some horse races. I have never really been fond of betting, so I wasnt so happy about the idea, but I left Happy Valley Racecourse with a completely different impression.
It costs 10 Hong Kong Dollars to enter the stadium to get into the Public Stand. The feeling when you enter the stadium is completely indescribable. There is a stand to the left and the racetrack to the right and behind the racetrack you have a beautiful view of the skyline of Hong Kong. Happy Valley Racecou
