[patofgold23, 30/11/2009] From all the places I've seen in HongKong, Madame Tussauds Museum made my travel worthwhile. The travel company arranged for our tickets in advance so my son and I didn't have to wait in line for the ticket booth. But seeing the people stand there for I'm not sure how long, very eager to get a ticket made me realize how popular this place is. We had to wait for about 30 minutes to get inside coz people are packed. But everything we experienced behind the entrance door made the wait so worth it !!! [sian, 07/01/2009] If you are spending a couple of days in Hong Kong, going up to Victoria Peak cannot be missed to see the Hong Kong skyline. Make sure that you go on a day with good weather; otherwise the visibility is not so great! In order to get up to the top you take the peak tram which takes you up the mountain at a 90 degree angle the whole way. The best time to go is just before sunset when you can take pictures of the skyline in light and dark (try to get there at least half an hour before sunset otherwise the queues to get on the peak tram get really long) it costs around 3 pounds to get return ticke [more]

The author describes the Peak as "undoubtedly Hong Kong's number one tourist attraction" where she went by the Peak Tram ("relatively small weekday queue")one day and by bus the other day. A clear view from the top is said to be an "unreliale occurrence" but at her second visit she was "rewarded by sunset views over Hong Kong and Kowloon".

The author says that "The Peak" is a "spectacular view point" and a "must see while on Hong Kong island". He describes the various ways to reach the Peak Tram Station and recommends the "Tram", which can get "pretty crowded". The "extraordinary views" are already glimpsed from the tram as it goes up, but once on top they become "amazing".
