The hotel is "happily located atop a good quality set of shops and restaurants" in the neighbourhood of the landmarks on Hong Kong island. It is said to have "a great set of facilities" including a "24 hour business centre and faxes in most rooms" and therefore well equipped for the "business traveller". The hotel lobby is described as "impressively decadent" and the health centre as "state of the art". Guest rooms feature "marble, double sink bathrooms".

The Conrad Hotel is part of a shopping mall, and it is said that "they don't come any bigger or swisher" than this one. About the rooms, the authors say they are "among Hong Kongs biggest" and they are equipped with "everything you'd expect". They describe a "late-night plunge" in the outdor swimming pool as "a surreal experience". Regarding the restaurant, it is "consistently rated among the best" in Hong Kong.
