On the whole, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay near to Heathrow. When you think, we only paid £50 for a gorgeous room in a 4 star hotel. The only thing that could have made our stay more pleasant would have been free parking and cheaper drinks at the bar!

Our room was on the 10th floor and the view over looked the car park at the side. The room was massive and we were impressed at the cleanliness of it. In the room, there was a humongous bed (easily 7 foot wide) and you could have fitted a whole family in there!, 2 full size wardrobes, a small office area, with a desk, chair, lamp and a point for Internet access. Opposite from the small office area, there was a three-seater sofa with a coffee table in front of it. The bathroom was large with a full size bath, a power shower (over the top of the bath) and a large sink area with complimentary toiletries such as shampoo, cotton buds, moisturiser etc. Included in the room was a hairdryer, an iron and ironing board and a safe. There was also a medium sized fridge. One half of the fridge was already stocked with items supplied by the hotel and you could use the rest of the fridge to store you own items in. The hotel had already stocked the fridge with shots of various international brands of alcohol. These were VERY expensive, £6 was the cheapest one! And that was for just the shot of alcohol without any sort of mixer. There was also a selection of chocolate bars that had been supplied by the hotel and the cheapest one of these was £2 for a Mars bar which again we thought was expensive.

The Sheraton Skyline has a medium sized Gym (which is free to use if you want to!) and also a swimming pool, which is free for guests. We did not use any of these facilities but we did have a look at them and they were both clean and obviously well maintained. There was also a restaurant but the prices were so expensive we didn't bother. A starter was between £10-15 and a main between £30 - £40. We asked at reception if we would be able to get the car out of the car park (obviously we didn't want to pay £12 twice for car parking). The lady informed us that she could validate our car parking token for 30 minutes which would allow us to pop out for half an hour without being charged twice for the car parking. We thought this was useful but felt that they could have let us go out without a time limit! After we had popped out for something to eat we decided to find their outside pool bar and have a couple of drinks before we went to bed. The outside pool bar was gorgeous. They were playing music softly in the background and there were plenty of tables and chairs to accommodate all the guests. The scene looked really pretty as the pool was lit up and the bar was in the middle with a thatched roof. I have to say, it definitely set me off into a holiday mood.

We did not eat at the hotel as we decided to pop out and grab something to eat so I am unable to comment on the prices.
We did have a drink at the poolside bar. Although I absolutely loved the atmosphere of the pool bar, I was not impressed with the prices of the drinks. We had a cocktail each, which came in a small wine glass and each cocktail was £8 each which I thought was very overpriced!

We found the Sheraton Skyline fairly easy to find. The hotel website allows you to print off a map and this made it quite easy to find the hotel if it wasn't for my boyfriend taking a few wrong turns! The hotel is on a large road that is absolutely heaving with hotels. Literally the whole road consists of hotels, some very large and impressive ones such as the Marriott and Hilton are along the same road. We were flying from Heathrow airport the next day and this hotel was about a 10-minute drive to Heathrow (at the most) and was in an extremely convenient location.
On the same road as the hotel, there are many take away shops and restaurants such as Indian's, Chinese and there was even a McDonalds. To be honest, we didn't see any other restaurants where you could actually sit down and have a meal.
