Let's faceit, airport hotels tend to be bed factories, and this could be seen as such but with some differences. to start with it has Callaghans, an English style pub to go with the very large lounge bar, and a fully blown Chinese Restaurant to go with its normal restauarant.
Big it may be, but it somehow has personality too, and the only real fault are the queues on check out, but that is something every big hotel can suffer from, and express check out is avalable.
I have to mention the bar prices - which I found over the top. This isn't unusual for any chain hotel, but when will they learn that loyalty is made up from more that the bedrrom and rate - everything is taken into account and they lose many brownie points if they rip you off in the bar or wit parking charges, not to mention wifi - which should be free in any case.
Yes, it is a very big hotel, but copes well and is one of the best airport hotels i have stayed in.

Typical Holiday inn bedroom - i.e. OK, but nothing to write home about. Very clean but in reality basic.

Long queues at check out during busy times - allow for this if you are catching a shuttle bus to the airport.

Night life - you make you own, as nothing is close by.
Quiet location - it's an airport hotel but no night flying into Heathrow (roughly 2400hrs to 0600 hrs)
