[more]The basic concept is a 3-star Art Nouveau hotel that is accentuated with many design elements which have a link to the City of Hamburg. The objective is to convince the guests through exceptional quality, friendliness and value for money.
Due to the close proximity to the Alster river, the downtown area, the Hamburg University, the fairground and the Congress Center Hamburg (CCH), many domestic or foreign business travellers as well as tourists regard our hotel as favoured alternative to hotel chains with their sometimes quite uncharitable or boring furnishing and their sketchy service.
Altogether, the hotel has 44 rooms with 75 beds on three levels. The spectrum starts with 2 so-called Economy Single bedrooms (shower in the room, WC in the hall), followed by 15 regular single bed rooms, 19 double or twin bed rooms and 4 triple bed rooms (all equipped with shower and WC), up to 2 mini suites and 2 extravagant designed suites. None of the rooms have the same size or layout, since the rooms have earlier been built for different purposes – this fact on its own has sometimes generated very individual and sometimes fancy solutions. However, they always offer the required base configuration and show a passion for detail.
All rooms have new furniture with fire protective carpeting, box-spring beds of the highest quality level with ultra comfort mattresses, allergy protecting blankets and pillows, top quality linen, attractive bath room equipment with glass shower cabinet, flat screen TV sets with DVBT (conversion in progress), state-of-the-art room phone system, and last but not least: free of charge high speed W-LAN internet access.
The comprehensive breakfast buffet is served in a gorgeous Art Nouveau room which is designed like a traditional Hamburg coffee house..
