Description:	Scroby Sands wind farm, one of the first commercial offshore wind farms in the UK, consists of 30 turbines which are located 2.5 km of the coast from Great Yarmouth . Each of the turbines rises about 60 metres above the mean sea level and has three 40 metres blades and all together the 30 turbines generate enough energy to provide for 33000 homes. Visitors can take a boats tour to the turbines which have also become very popular with a colony of seals that has settled down on its banks and there is a visitor centre at the Esplanade which offers interactive displays for visitors of all ages who want to find out more about wind power .
