[Aldo26, 29/11/2011] Good location in the city centre, but the parking was too far away and it was raining... The rooms and lobby a little bit older than expected. Food at breakfast was ok.
They did no party at all on New Years Eve!!

[vasilevn, 13/08/2010] You can find a lot of photos, movies and stories, but nothing get close to the real impact of Alhambra in live. Masterpiece of the Arabic art, elegant style in every single detail and unearthly beauty of the gardens - this is Alhambra.
Due to the stream of visitors, it's obligatory to book a ticket in advance to be able to enter in the Nasrid Palaces. Better thing is to joint to some of the guided tours, but my advice is to pay for a private tour - it not cost so much, but you can see and learn a lot. Both tours must be booked in advance too.

[travelingdaisy78, 24/04/2010] The apartments are greatly situated - in the arabic quarter Albayzin, 2 minutes to the bus stop, 5 minutes to the cathedral...They are in the old historic building, now totally restored, very charming and with a beatifull courtyard. Inside of the apartment, there is a beautiful decoration , he apartment is big and comfortable. There is also aequipped kitchen, fridge, microwave, toaster....., even a kettle is there(!), a thing hard to find in Spain!
very clean, cleaning service every day
great deal, I have spent there a week for quite a little money!!!

So with that in mind, I booked the Tryp Alcano (part of the Sol Melia group), just 5km from the bustling heart of this ancient city, but conveniently located on a highway close to the ring road.
Just to get our bearings straight, the hotel is 5-6 km from the Alhambra, 40 km from the Sierra Nevada ski slopes and 60 km from the
