[more]El Ladrón de Agua is a four-star hotel located in Granada, at the foot of the Albayzin quarter with the historic center in walking distance, and facing the Alhambra Palace. The property is housed in a sixteenth century palace which is fully renovated. It has retained original features such as oriental rugs, solid wood ceilings, Mudejar style, stained glass, the Renaissance interior patio with columns and a marble basin and its Moorish cistern converted into dining room. The hotel is named after a poem by Juan Ramón Jiménez.
The hotel provides eight non-smoking rooms equipped with telephone, Internet access, hair dryer, flat screen televisions and some have a Jacuzzi. All rooms have private bathrooms with complimentary toiletries. There are rooms for disabled guests.
Smoking is allowed only on the patio.
The restaurant offers seasonal cuisine with Andalusian and Mediterranean accents. It is a mix of dishes from the mountains, the coast and the islands in which Moorish, Jewish and Christian influences can be found.
