, 31/12/2011] Situated on a flat topped rocky hill over-looking Victoria, the capital of Gozo, the old citadel is one of the island’s must see attractions. It is not as complete or dramatic as the citadel at Mdina on Malta but it is certainly worth visiting. Viewed from other parts of the island there’s something forbidding yet simultaneously inviting as the defensive towers and the tower of the wonderful cathedral peek out over the battlements.
