[spicy, 27/01/2008] Concord falls is one of the more popular falls on the island, with visitors, and is on the list of our favourite places to go hiking as it also passes through a field of nutmeg trees.
Several of the local tour companies include it on their list of places to see.
The Concord river valley actually has 3 waterfalls, with the Concord falls being the most easily accessible and therefore the more popular.
The main road takes you directly to the waterfall, and there are steps leading down to the pool and is perfect for a refreshing swim.
The admission fee is US$1.

[spicy, 27/01/2008] Fish friday is an amazing event which was developed after Hurricane Ivan in '04. The community of Gouyave ( Fishing Village) got together with the idea of producing an event which would boost the economy of the town, while raising awareness for the fishing industry. Additionally, it was set up to create a link to the different parts of the islands economy, including the agricultural and cultural sectors.
