Sugar Mill Ponds are located just outside the Village of Rawcliffe Bridge, about five miles to the West of Goole, in the East Riding of Yorkshire. Description: Sugar Mill Ponds are located 8KM west of Goole and cover an area of 25 acres. There are two large ponds, a car parking area and a picnic area. This area is now a local nature reserve and has been created as part of a community project reclaiming former industrial wasteland.
Access throughout the site is free and there are good footpaths around the ponds and also along a section of the Aire and Calder Navigation Canal, which runs along the border of the reserve.
