[martanikolova, 05/01/2012] I was a little bit disappointed of the hotel. I was expecting much more of a 4-star hotel. First of all there was something wrong with our reservation. They replaced the room with an apartment, but it was basically on the street and we didn’t like that too much, but there was nothing else to be done, so we let it go. There was much noise from outside, woo many people at the pool, too many people everywhere. As a whole it is a good hotel, but I would never stay there again.
[martanikolova, 05/01/2012] I spent a week at this hotel several years ago and I still keep great memories about the place. Right on the beach, with amazing view over the sea and the resort, comfortable rooms, polite staff - all that implies a wonderful vacation. Everything I experienced there was very nice. I especially liked the breakfast - there was everything you could possibly want and I never missed even one breakfast, even though I don't like getting up too early. So my overall impression is excellent.

[Wili71, 12/10/2011] Great holiday. The staff was always very friendly and attentive to their guests. The food was something there for every taste. The objections of the hotel, there were no complaints. The hotel is suitable not only for party-addicted, the entertainment care lovingly our smallest where the large not be forgotten.
[anrez, 10/05/2011] we have LOVED this pace. all comforts, very nice room, spacious and clean, excellent cuisine.. we shall come back for sure!! thank you!!!
[Blueberry, 06/01/2011] The main asset of the hotel is its location - it's 2 minutes from te beach, 20 minutes by bus / taxi to the city center. The rooms differ in size big time! My friends and I booked the same kind of double room for the same price, but at the end they ended up with a room more than twice bigger than mine. The rooms are cleaned daily, but the standard of cleaning is not high enough for the price the hotel charges you. The food was good and there was plenty of it, with a large variety to satisfy all tastes. The staff is helpful and fluent in English, so communication was good.
The room windows do no

[Teodor4eto_, 12/11/2010] Aladza monastery is a rocky monastery near Varna and Varna`s famousest Summer Resort "Golden Sands".
It`s a almost religious experience to visit this holly place even that it is not working as a monastery now.It was build in the middle of the 4th century by cutting the rock and form the monks sells.It was used as a monastery by the end of the second Bulgarian kingdom, before the Bulgarian occupation by the Otomans. Then it was used as a citadel by the Otomans and of the Romans before them.
With the years and the events around the history the monastery is lived to our modenn time when it was

[Teodor4eto_, 12/11/2010] The Botanical Garden of Varna is a part of University Botanical Garden of Balchik and is situated near the down town of Varna on the way to Golden Sands Summer Resort.
I visited it for a firs time in 2001 and it was a wonderful experience for me, to have a walk in the garden surrounded by century tries and very rear flora and fauna, preserved here for the future nations.
There were a lot of cactus and exotic palm treas and huge tries which you can see probably in very few countries,there also a couple of flowers and rose gardens with incredible examples.
I visited it last year to and for my r

[David, 11/08/2010] Aladzha monastery is near Varna and 3 km from Golden sands. Aladzha in Turkish means colorful and the monastery was built in 13 century. Now the monastery is not working as such, the monks left it around 18 century. The monastery has entrance fee about few euros, and inside you will see one not typical monastery.
It was built in the rock. All cells and rooms were dig in the rocks. The monks were living on that rock and walking on dangerous cramped mountains paths high in the mountain.
The place is just stunning. When you climb to the terrace on second floor you will get as a prize a great vie

[Lovebug, 04/09/2009] The Aladscha monastery is a a nice quiet place just a few steps away from the busy Golden Sands resort. It hides in a nice natural park bearing the same name.
The monastery itself is nothing you could expect. The whole monastery was actually carved in solid rock. This trend in monastic architecture was very popular in medieval Bulgaria when Othodox hermits called Isihast (or ones who vowed to remain silent) were looking for a secluded and unreachable place to live in and communicate with God.
There aren't crowds of people flooding the site and you can easily sink in the calmness of the place.

[costash, 11/08/2009] For all future clients please be advised of the following when booking a room at Glarus Hotel:
-The mini fridge is empty in every room;
-Only 25% of the staff is speaking English;
-The food is almost the same every day and you may find that there is nothing for you to eat except French fries and pasta;
-The isolation between the bath tub and the wall is pore and when you shower all the water falls on the floor;
-The bathroom has no drain so after the shower you have to collect all the water from the floor;
-Although the restaurant has over 30 tables there are only 4 or 5 salt and pepper

[munisladuni, 06/08/2009] I visited Melia Grand Ermitage (ex-Kempinski) in June 2009 for a week of company training.
My overall impression is that the hotel offers good service and is good value for your money.
Golden sands is a resort normally preffered by young people and has a lot to offer as far as night life is concerned but I would certainly see it as a place to visit with family as well especially now as it is less crowded.
The food offered for breakfast is various and of a very good quality-you get warm food(eggs, sausages,bacon), a good choice of fruit (2 types of melon,pineapple,watermelo n,oranges,bananas)

[annity, 25/07/2009] We spent our vacantion in Kaliakra Palace Hotel in the middle of July 2007. I was there with my boyfriend. Before our going we ordered a silent room , on the high floor , with sea view.
When we arrived , we had accommodaton in a room - N 125. It is on the first floor. In the room was very hot, airless, ang the bathroom was dirty too. THe restaurand was next to our room, and when we were on the balcony, we saw a place where the kitchen's staff were smoking and talking.
So we told with our agancy, and they tried to help us. We had a conversation with the hotel's manager, and he offered us to c

[Dalka, 15/07/2009] I liked Happy Bar and Grill chain in the beginning when they opened. Then, the restaurants in Sofia became a little bit absurd and not worth to pay them any visits. On the other hand, last weekend I went to visit some old friends, who work in Golden Sands, and they invited us over for lunch in Happy Bar and Grill.
And indeed, things have changed. The service was good, the food also. I had a greek salad, that was really fresh with nice cheese on top. Then, we had a sample of appetizers, and finished up with desserts. I can absolutely recommend the home made cake with ice cream. When you eat it,

[malcolm77, 01/07/2009] The Perla Hotel is one to give a miss unless you are possibly under 30'. The hotel is situation up a hill 20 minutes walk back from the beach as is close to the area where the discos and bars are located, Our room faced the rear and we did suffer an element of traffic noise from the main road running behind. The rooms were nice but the restaurant was chaotic often not replenishing empty to dishes and the food looked and tasted pretty grotty.. To car it all the hotel had a number of large school parties staying and a German young and lively tour company used to hotel. consequence could be noisy

[maridominic, 02/04/2009] The Aladscha Monastery is one of the most famous monastery that existed on Bulgarian Black sea shore. It has been attracting many explorers and visitors due to its beautiful woodland location near to Varna . The monastery situated on two levels in a 40m-high limestone rock. On these two levels we can find the crypt, church, monastic cells, dinning room, kitchen.
On first level, right to the visitors staircase is the church with small altar. In central part of the altar was painted the image of Mother Mary. The church was decorated with mural paintings like most Medieval Orthodox churches

[Dalka, 30/03/2009] Arabella hotel is situated on the marvelous seaside of Goledn Sands, just across the beach, around 20 minutes from the sea. It is some 14 km from Varna and 30 km from the airport. There are mini trains that go from the hotel to other parts of the resort for a certain fee.
You can find everything you need in this hotel. There is a lounge bar, and also a pool bar service that you can use while sitting in the sun. It was very common for us not to go to the bech, but rather stay on the pool and use the amenities that the hotel had to offer to us. If you want to keep a good look, there is a massage

[Dalka, 24/02/2009] Zlatni Piasaci is my favourite place for a summer holiday. I can relax there, and at the same time feel valued.
If I have to use one word to describe the whole resort, this would be lux. It is everywhere arounf you--in the hotels, on the beach, in restaurants, pools, small kiosks. Everything yells out that you are in the fanciest resort in Bulgaria.
Service is excellent everywhere, the staff makes you feel valued. You can enjoy a nice breakfast, looking at the beach, the sun just peaking over the horizon. The beaches are clean, the water is calm and warm and peacefull. You can have a lot
