[garlictime, 03/02/2012] A pleasant enough hotel. Location only really good if flying out from Glasgow Airport otherwise not the nicest of areas. However rooms are fairly good and well equiped with a very acceptable (although far from cordon bleau) restaurant and bar.
[SerenBunny, 13/01/2012] I live right in front of Silverburn. Its an excellent place of high end shops, with a few 'cheap' ones thrown in (such as Claires etc).
Some of the shops seem like they would be better of in either the West End or in a higher employed area.
There are plenty of parking spaces, about 4000. TIP: If you want to beat the crush of cars, park outside Silverburn at the residential homes part. If you don't block driveways or take over the street, no one will really moan.
[miss-s-j-m, 03/01/2012] Was A LOT further away from the city center than we had been advised, no en-suite bathrooms as requested, the bathroom we were allocated was also the public (noisy) bar downstairs! Only given one double room when requested three. No hot water. No heating.
Rooms were decorated lovely, really nice and clean. Bed was 100% comfy.
[Kimberley182, 10/08/2011] Fab time , great staff , easy to get too and from city centre . rooms are in student flats but they are spotless and its fantastic 5 minds from city centre
[afarmer2011, 28/02/2011] The main conclusion to any review of the Grand Central must be that it is excellent value if you get a deal of under £100. In fact I paid about the same as it would have cost me for a Travelodge or Holiday Inn Express.
The location is excellent, especially if you are travelling by train, there is even a door straight onto the station concourse. The staff have been well trained, and were quick to respond to any issue, even if, in one case, the issue could not be resolved.
Some reviews have indicated a concern over the noise. I did not find any problem, although I had a room that overlooke

[Blueberry, 12/01/2011] The Kelvingrove is a wonderful combination - natural history museum, cultural heritage and art gallery. Amazing Victorian building, which will facinate every architectural connoisseur. And the amazing thing is that it's all free. It is situated in the bohemian West End
My family and I love to spend time in the museum - looking at the different collections, which change every month or so, having a cup of tea in the cafe while the kids play around us.
Another great thing for someone not very knowledgable wen it comes to art is that there are two guided tours every day, which are also free. T

[Blueberry, 09/01/2011] Bamboo is a night club, based in the city center of Glasgow. It has three halls which all play different music during the night. Great variety of music, so you would not get bored. It works 7 nights per week (the busiest nights being Thursday, Friday and Saturday) You can expect to hear RnB, Hip-Hop, House, Electro, Indie Funk’nSoul’n, Rock’nRoll and a bit of disco. That’s the great thing with three rooms; everyone’s musical tastes are catered for.
Drinks may cost as little as 1 pound for vodka+RedBull, depending on the day you visit.
The only annoying part of the experience is that if you vi

[Blueberry, 08/01/2011] Glasgow Botanic Gardens is a public park located in probably the best area of Glasgow - the West End. Easy commute by bus or subway from every other part of the city. The actual botanic part of the whole park is quite small, but very nicely presented. It features several glasshouses, the most notable of which is the Kibble Palace, which is an “A listed 19th century, curvilinear iron structure of exquisite design and form - very beautiful to look at.
The Park is very suitable for kids as there are playgrounds, lots of grass to run on, plus the educational part of discovering a wide range of

[Blueberry, 05/01/2011] Good, well-presented hotel. Reasonable prices compared to quality. Friendly and helpful staff.
[bongo22, 18/08/2010] hotel was fantastic, quirky and fun. design was lovely. the bed was amazing and loved the mood lighting. the hotel is well located in glasgow and cant wait to stay again.
[esite, 09/06/2010] An affordable luxury hotel near all the attractions in Glasgow, Scotland.
[TommyTom, 17/04/2010] I have just returned from a very pleasant stay at Glasgow's, the Piper's Tryst. I'm actually a Piper myself, from Canada, and the hotel was recommended to me by a good friend who had previously stayed in the hotel during a competition. My stay at the Piper's Tryst has made me want to come back to Glasgow all the more. My room faced out to the front of the building (it was room 3 I think) but I was never disturbed by noise despite the fact the hotel is literally minutes away from the city centre.
I stayed for 5 days in the hotel and my room was always cleaned to a high standard and very c

[magdadh, 06/01/2010] Blairdrummond, the only "real" safari park in Scotland, is located off A9 near Stirling and is so far the best animal park / zoo / aquarium I have visited in Scotland (although we have not been to Edinburgh zoo).
It combines the safari park, where you drive through enclosures with animals and you are not separated from them by a fence; monkey island that can be observed from a boat; more traditional zoo enclosures; a birds of prey show; small fairground; very decent playpark and a bit of a circus show (with sea lions).
The park is located in a nice stretch of countryside and there is a feeli

[calsf, 02/01/2010] It was a bit intimidating to choose a hotel for my son and myself while visiting Glasgow as we had never been there before, had no idea what to expect. As is typical I decided that the Radisson SAS was a good choice after reading the many nice reviews elsewhere. It turns out that the reviews were spot on. The hotel is across the street from the train station which is usually not the best location, however, it turned out to be the quite good here.
The reasons were many. Walk past the Central Station for a few blocks and there was the famous shopping streets that Glasgow is known the wo

[johnsmith, 05/10/2009] Really can't say I was impressed with this hotel. Too much pomp and excessive hee-hawing. Got to say I could not wait to escape
[mylove, 14/07/2009] this place is so nice, its possibly the most comfortable nightclub ive been to (there's loads of kushion lol!) the staff are great we were getting table service all night and the drinks are cheap cheap cheap!!!
music was a bit of everything in one room which i like and hip hop in the other which is great too!
[Scotabroad, 20/04/2009] We stayed here for 2 nights Friday and Saturday in April 2009. Our room was on the 4th floor overlooking George square and was spacious and comfortable with air conditioning. The bathroom was large, fully tiled and attractive with a really good shower.
The carpets in the corridors looked as though they had recently been shampooed and the corridors were bright and well decorated. Breakfast was in the bistro and well worth paying for.
We would both recommend this hotel and at about £80 per night before breakfast was good value, especially as the location was so central.
[roseycheeks, 06/03/2009] We stayed at this 4-star apartment hotel on 19th of December 2008 for 1 night before we head to Isle of Bute for our friends wedding. We flew into Glasgow International Airport from London City Airport with British Airways. It took about 1 hour and 35 minutes get reach Glasgow. As soon as we reached Glasgow Airport, we went straight to the car rental desk to pick up our car. Once you come out of the arrival hall you will see several car rental companies right in front of you. The distance to the hotel from the Airport is about 11miles and it should really take about 20 minutes to reach the hot

[Juleshobs, 28/08/2008] Having to travel from time to time for work I recently found myself having to spend the best part of a week in Glasgow and in need of somewhere to lay my weary head at the end of the day and Marks hit the spot in terms of distance from the office and located right in the middle of the city centre with shops and bars a few minutes walk away.
Now I am not particularly fussy on where I stay and to be honest really dont have a huge say in the matter as we tend to opt for a combination of convenience and price that falls within the allowed budget so the question was would Marks hit the Mark,
